A world free of injuries caused by falls from low heights

According to WHO, an estimated 684,000 people each year die from falls yearly. Though not fatal, approximately 37.3 million falls severe enough to require medical attention occur each year. Globally, falls are responsible for over 38 million DALYs (disability-adjusted life years) lost each year, and result in more years lived with disability than transport injury, drowning, burns and poisoning combined.

Prevention for workers is critical by having:
– workplace safety programs; and
– the right equipment and tools

In the USA alone, more than 164,000 ladder accidents result in emergency room treatment yearly. An estimated 81% of fall injuries treated in the hospital amongst construction workers involve a ladder.

Low-access work platforms with safety mechanisms (including platform rails) do well to protect workers from injury and disability.

At IXOLIFT, safety is our mission. We design innovative low-access platforms to create safer, better working conditions for people working at low heights—ensuring everyone goes home safe.
