On offshore and onshore energy sites, ladders are often the default for low-level work. The IXOLIFT X400 INOX gives up to four metres of working height with both hands free, in acid-proof AISI 316 stainless steel.
Why build a scaffold for a one-man job?
Is a ladder the safest option, or simply the quickest? One short climb looks low-risk. Repeat it across a shift, with every climb, descent and repositioning, and the risk adds up. Add fatigue, salty air and wind, and familiarity starts to look a lot like complacency. That is why we say: choose ladders last.
The same goes for scaffolds. A short task for one person can tie up a whole scaffold crew, plus inspection and permits.
The X400 INOX on energy sites
- Acid-proof AISI 316 stainless steel, rust-resistant in salty, offshore air.
- Guardrails on every side, and automatic brakes that engage once the platform rises.
- Rated for wind up to 12,5 m/s with the stabilisers out (X400WS INOX).
- No charging and no hydraulic oil: the patented gas spring height adjustment is maintenance free.
- ATEX-marked for Zones 1 and 21 as standard, for areas where explosive gas or dust can occur.
- Just 728 mm wide, so it goes where a scaffold won’t.
- Working height: 3974 mm
- Platform height: 974–1974 mm
- Max working load: 150 kg
- Platform size: 526 × 556 mm
- Stowed: 1970 mm high, 1198 mm long, 728 mm wide
- Total weight: 240 kg
- Wind rating: 12,5 m/s, X400WS INOX with stabilisers out
Standards and manufacturing
The X400 INOX carries the CE marking under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the ATEX marking under Directive 2014/34/EU (Ex h IIC T6 Gb and Ex h IIIC T60 °C Db). We design and build it in Nummela, Finland, to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
